Kathmandu, May 17: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 resumes today after being suspended last week due to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindur, launched by India in response to a deadly attack in Kashmir that claimed 22 lives.
The situation has since de-escalated, and the IPL is back on track after a temporary halt. The league had paused midway through a match between Punjab and Delhi, which will be rescheduled.
Today’s game, the 58th match of the season, will see Bangalore take on Kolkata at 7:30 PM IST, marking the official restart of the tournament.
The resumption is a welcome relief for cricket fans around the world, as the league pushes forward toward the playoffs.
