Kathmandu, May 21: The Nepal women’s national cricket team is set to return home today after making history by qualifying for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers for the first time.
The team will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport at 7 PM, according to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
Nepal secured the runner-up position in the Asia region qualifiers, earning them a spot in the global qualifiers. During the tournament, Nepal defeated Bahrain twice, lost one match to Hong Kong, and had one match canceled due to rain.
This marks a significant achievement for women’s cricket in Nepal, showcasing the team’s growing potential on the international stage.
