ISC Secretary General Ek Nath Dhakal Holds Talks with IPU Secretary General Martin Chungong
Geneva, May 21 : Ek Nath Dhakal, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), held talks with H.E. Martin Chungong, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), on Wednesday. The meeting, held at the IPU headquarters in Geneva, focused on enhancing multilateral cooperation between the ISC and the IPU.
The two Secretaries General also discussed Nepal’s engagement with the IPU. During the meeting, Dhakal congratulated Martin Chungong on his effective leadership of the IPU and conveyed the best wishes of Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire. In response, Secretary General Chungong extended his best wishes to Speaker Ghimire, congratulated Dhakal’s position as ISC Secretary General and Nepal on its recent achievements within IPU committees.
Dhakal, a Member of the House of Representatives and a member of the International Relations and Tourism Committee, is currently on a two-day visit to Switzerland to hold discussions with the IPU leadership.
