Kathmandu, May 28: Tensions between Harvard University and the Trump administration continue to escalate, with the White House now preparing to review federal funding agreements worth an estimated $100 million.

According to a senior White House official, the General Services Administration (GSA) is set to notify federal agencies to evaluate their ongoing agreements with Harvard. “Letters will be sent to ensure compliance with any decisions regarding funding to Harvard,” the official said.

Currently, around 30 such agreements are under review. The administration is reportedly considering whether to withhold the funds or redirect them to other institutions.

The dispute has intensified over the past two months. Most recently, the Trump administration barred foreign nationals from entering Harvard, prompting the university to challenge the decision in court.

Harvard has not issued any public response regarding the potential withdrawal of government funding.
