Kathmandu, May 29: The Government of Nepal has set an ambitious target of 6 percent economic growth for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83, as announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel.
Presenting the annual budget statement in a joint session of both houses of the Federal Parliament, Minister Poudel also stated that the government aims to maintain inflation within 5.5 percent, keeping it within the desired limit.
The economic and inflation targets reflect the government’s focus on stability and recovery, with expectations of increased investment, better revenue mobilization, and improved public spending efficiency in the coming year.
