Elon Musk Slams Trump’s Tax and Spending Bill, Calls It ‘Disgusting’

Kathmandu, June 5: Billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has launched a scathing attack on a new tax and spending bill backed by U.S. President Donald Trump, calling it “disgusting.”
The bill, passed in the House of Representatives in May, includes massive tax breaks worth trillions of dollars, increased defense spending, and raises the U.S. government’s borrowing limit.
“Shame on those who voted for this,” Musk posted on his platform X on Tuesday.
This marks Musk’s first public criticism of Trump since resigning from his role in the government efficiency department, where he served for 129 days.
Musk warned that the bill would add $2.5 trillion to the already ballooning U.S. budget deficit, calling it an “unsustainable debt burden on the American people.”
Earlier, Musk had termed the plan merely “disappointing,” but his latest remarks show a sharper tone of disagreement.
