Prachanda: Two-Point Deal Reached to Resolve Parliament Deadlock

Morang, June 14: Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, announced that a two-point agreement has been reached with the ruling coalition to move forward in the interest of the country and the people.
Speaking to reporters at Biratnagar Airport today, Prachanda confirmed that it was agreed to form a committee to investigate the visit visa case, which has been the centre of a prolonged parliamentary deadlock.
He stated that the agreement was necessary as the parliament needed to pass key bills, including the Civil Service and Education Acts, without further delay.
Prachanda also emphasized the need to introduce legislation that would allow former presidents and vice presidents to return to active politics, suggesting that such a provision would strengthen democratic engagement.
With this agreement, the House deadlock, which had stalled legislative proceedings for several days, appears to be resolved.
