Helicopter En Route to Kedarnath Crashes in Uttarakhand

Kathmandu, June 15: A helicopter traveling from Dehradun to Kedarnath has crashed in Uttarakhand, India, according to Indian media reports.

The Hindustan Times reported that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami confirmed the incident, stating, “I pray to Baba Kedar for the safety of all the passengers.”

The helicopter was carrying six passengers at the time of the crash. Further details about the cause of the crash and the condition of the passengers are awaited.

This accident comes shortly after another aviation tragedy. On Thursday afternoon, an Air India plane flying from Ahmedabad to London crashed, carrying 242 people including crew members and passengers. Only one passenger survived that horrific accident.
