Kathmandu, June 16: Former US President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that he can mediate peace between Iran and Israel, claiming on his social media platform, Truth Social, that “they must make an agreement, and they will.”

Trump also asserted that he successfully negotiated a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, stating, “Just as I made an agreement between India and Pakistan, I can make an agreement between Iran and Israel.”

He added, “I will use the power of American business to bring reason, consensus, and sanity to the dialogue between these two great leaders. They will make a quick decision and stop the war.”

While Pakistan has acknowledged US involvement in the recent ceasefire, India has not commented on any direct US role.

Trump further listed other peace efforts during his presidency, claiming he prevented tensions from escalating into war between Serbia and Kosovo and between Egypt and Ethiopia over the Nile dam dispute.

He wrote, “In my first term, I stopped decades-long tension between Serbia and Kosovo from turning into war. I also intervened in the dam dispute between Egypt and Ethiopia, and now both countries are at peace.”

Ending his message, Trump said, “There will be peace between Israel and Iran too. Many meetings and phone conversations are happening. I do a lot, but the boy doesn’t get the credit. Those who understand, know.”
