Nepal Secures Dominant 80-Run Win Over Japan in ACC U-16 East Zone Cricket

Kathmandu, June 24: Nepal registered a strong 80-run victory over Japan in their second match of the ACC Men’s U-16 East Zone Cricket Tournament held at the Kozal Tunku Jafar Oval in Malaysia.

Left-arm spinner Shubham Khanal led the bowling attack with an impressive five-wicket haul to dismantle Japan’s batting lineup.

Match Summary:

  • Nepal’s Total: 160 runs
  • Japan’s Total: 80 all out in 34.3 overs

For Japan, Captain Charlie Harahinze top-scored with 36 runs, while only Gabi Harahinj managed to reach double figures with 13 runs. The rest of the batting order collapsed under Nepal’s tight bowling.

For Nepal, apart from Shubham’s five wickets, Abhay Yadav claimed two wickets, while Sushil Rawal and Bipin Prasad Sharma took one wicket each.

Earlier, Nepal defeated Singapore by six wickets in their opening match of the tournament and now continues their strong run with this second consecutive win.
