Rishabh Pant Warned by ICC for On-Field Conduct During England Test

Kathmandu, June 24: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially warned India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant for inappropriate on-field behavior during the first Test against England at Headingley.
Pant, who drew widespread attention for scoring centuries in both innings and setting multiple records, was involved in a heated exchange with the umpire during England’s first innings while Harry Brook and Ben Stokes were at the crease.
Pant argued with the umpire over the condition of the ball, demanding a change. After the umpires declined following an inspection, Pant threw the ball on the ground in frustration.
Pant later admitted his mistake to ICC match referee Richie Richardson and escaped formal punishment, receiving only a verbal warning.
The ICC confirmed that the issue has been resolved following Pant’s acceptance of the charge.
