Tensions Flare as Israel Accuses Iran of Missile Attack Amid Ceasefire

Kathmandu, June 24: The Israeli military has accused Iran of firing a missile at its territory despite an ongoing ceasefire agreement, a claim that Iranian state media strongly deny.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israeli forces have been ordered to retaliate with heavy strikes on government-linked targets in Tehran, citing a breach of the ceasefire agreement brokered by former US President Donald Trump.
Trump had earlier announced on his Truth Social platform that both Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire, and the Israeli government had confirmed its acceptance of the proposal.
However, Iranian Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi responded that Iran has not launched any missile attacks since the ceasefire began and reiterated that Iran has no intention of seeking revenge if Israel ceases hostilities.
The conflicting claims have reignited regional tension and cast doubt on the stability of the recently declared truce. The international community remains on edge as both countries continue to exchange threats amid growing fears of renewed conflict.
