Family Evacuated in Kanchanpur After Heavy Rain Floods Home

Kanchanpur, June 30: Police have safely evacuated the family of Aarti BK from Pavitrabasti in Parda Krishnapur Municipality-5 after their home was flooded due to continuous rainfall.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sagar Bohara from the District Police Office, the family has been relocated to Pavitra Basic School for safety.

As rains continue, police have urged people to stay indoors and avoid going near rivers, especially for fishing. The water level in the Mahakali River has reached 65,490 cusecs, which is still below the danger mark.

However, the water levels in Mohana, Chaudhry, Syali, and Sunworal rivers remain high. No casualties have been reported so far, Bohara confirmed.

Meanwhile, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has warned of heavy rainfall in many parts of the district and urged the public to stay alert.
