Durgesh Thapa’s New Song Breaks Record with 1.7 Million Views in 21 Hours
Kathmandu, Jul 10: Durgesh Thapa’s latest release ‘Jane Bhaye Jam Maya’ has set a new record, becoming the most viewed Nepali song within the first day of its release. The song garnered 1.7 million views in just 21 hours.
This breaks the previous record held by Bishnu Majhi’s Teej hit ‘Ain Ama’, which had received 1.5 million views in 24 hours after its release last year.
With just a few hours left to complete the first 24 hours, all eyes are now on whether Durgesh’s song can cross the 2 million mark — something no Nepali song has achieved within a single day.
The song features vocals by Durgesh Thapa, popular vlogger Sisan Baniya, and Nigerian footballer Alhaji Jero. Actress Gurans Nani stars in the music video. Durgesh himself has written the lyrics, composed the music, and arranged the track.
