Nepal Falls to Northern Territory Strikers by 42 Runs in Darwin T20 Series Opener

Kathmandu, Aug 15: Nepal suffered a 42-run defeat to Northern Territory Strikers in their opening match of the ongoing Top End T20 Series in Darwin, Australia.
Chasing a target of 178, Nepal managed 135 for eight in the allotted 20 overs. Kushal Malla top-scored with 34 runs, followed by Gulshan Jha (26), captain Rohit Paudel (23), and Dipendra Singh Airee (19). Matt Hammond claimed three wickets for the Strikers, while Kane Richardson and Tom Andrews took two each.
Earlier, electing to bat first after losing the toss, Northern Territory posted 177 for eight. Opener Darcy Short led with a half-century, supported by Tom Andrews (32*), Jordan Silk (19), Conor Carroll (18), Kade McMonay (12), and Jake Weatherald (11).
For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets, Shahab Alam grabbed two, while Gulshan Jha, Airee, and Paudel chipped in with one apiece.
