Nepal Defeats Bhutan 2-1 in SAF U-17 Women’s Championship

Kathmandu, Aug 22: Nepal secured a 2-1 victory over Bhutan in the South Asian Football Federation (SAF) U-17 Women’s Championship at Changlimithang Stadium in Bhutan.

Bhutan took the lead in the 42nd minute with a goal from Kunden Sonam Shegel, ending the first half 1-0. Nepal equalized in the 58th minute through Sahara Limbu, who later scored again in the 77th minute to secure the win.

Nepal, who lost 7-0 to India in their first match, earned three points with this result. Bhutan suffered their second consecutive defeat, having lost 3-1 to Bangladesh earlier.
