Over 160,000 Visitors Attend 17th NADA Auto Show in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Aug 24: The 17th edition of the NADA Auto Show concluded at Bhrikutimandap with a record attendance of more than 160,000 spectators.

The exhibition, inaugurated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on August 15, showcased 135 stalls related to automobiles, including 30 new products compared to the previous year. Flying cars and robots became the main attraction of the event, drawing massive crowds and widespread curiosity.

The show was attended by former prime ministers, political leaders, industrialists, young entrepreneurs, and the general public.

At the closing ceremony, Health and Population Minister Pradeep Poudel distributed certificates of appreciation to exhibitors, calling the automobile industry one of the country’s highest revenue-generating sectors. He emphasized the importance of balancing road safety with the production of environmentally friendly vehicles while promoting domestic automobile manufacturing for self-reliance.

NADA Chairman Karan Kumar Chaudhary said each edition of the Auto Show has been historic and expressed optimism that Nepal can move toward prosperity by embracing new technologies. “This year’s exhibition has revealed the belief in a new Nepal of the future,” he remarked.

The Auto Show featured electric vehicles, spare parts, tires, lubricants, and other innovations, marking it as a milestone event in Nepal’s automobile sector.
