Kathmandu, Aug 28: Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday accused Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir of running “the worst kind of dictatorship” in the country.
Khan, who has been jailed since August 2023, claimed Munir was “hungry for power” and lacked morality. He alleged that Munir was behind the May 9, 2023 riots, accusing him of conspiring and stealing CCTV footage of the incident.
He further said, “There is no hybrid system in the country. It is the dictatorship of Asim Munir. That is why Trump called Asim Munir instead of Shahbaz Sharif.”
Khan also alleged that his relatives, including two nephews with no political links, were abducted.
