ICC Increases Prize Money for 2025 Women’s World Cup

Kathmandu, Sept 2: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a major increase in prize money for the 2025 Women’s World Cup, making it four times higher than before.

ICC President Jai Shah said on social media that the total prize pool will be $3.8 million, aimed at promoting women’s cricket.

He noted that the prize money for the 2025 Women’s World Cup is higher than what was awarded in the 2022 Women’s World Cup ($3.5 million) and even the 2023 Men’s World Cup.

For the upcoming tournament, the winner will receive $4.48 million while the runner-up will get $2.24 million.
