Nepal Army’s 15th Daffa Team Deployed to South Sudan for UN Peacekeeping Mission

Kathmandu, Oct 7: The 14th Srinath Battalion Peacekeeping Force, serving under the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), has completed its term and been replaced by the 15th Daffa of the New Gorakh Battalion.

According to the Directorate of Military Public Relations, a contingent of 175 peacekeepers from the New Gorakh Battalion departed for South Sudan today, while 176 members of the Srinath Battalion returned home on Monday.

Currently, a total of 1,757 Nepal Army personnel are serving in South Sudan under the UN peacekeeping mission, working in coordination and cooperation to support peace and stability in the region.
