Nepal Batting First Against Qatar in T20 World Cup Qualifiers Super Six

Kathmandu, Oct 13: Nepal will bat first against Qatar in the Super Six stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia Pacific Qualifiers being held in Oman.

Qatar captain Mirza Mohammad Bagley won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first at the Oman Cricket Academy Turf-1 ground.

Nepal advanced to the Super Six as the winners of Group B after defeating Kuwait and Japan in the group stage. In their first Super Six match, Nepal edged past the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by one run in a thrilling finish.

If Nepal defeats Qatar today, the team will secure qualification for next year’s T20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Captain Rohit Kumar Poudel leads a strong lineup featuring Dipendra Singh Airee, Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Sandeep Jora, Kushal Malla, Gulshan Kumar Jha, Sompal Kami, Nandan Yadav, Sanadil Chhadi, and Mohammad.
