Kathmandu, Oct 29: England’s legendary fast bowler James Anderson, the country’s highest wicket-taker, has been awarded a knighthood at Windsor Castle.

Anderson, who retired from Test cricket in July 2024, played 188 Tests over a 22-year international career, claiming 704 wickets.

The 43-year-old was included in former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s honors list released in April for his remarkable contribution to cricket.

Anderson stands third on the all-time Test wicket-takers list, behind Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan and Australia’s Shane Warne. He continues to represent his home club, Lancashire.
