According to the Prime Minister’s Secretary Swakthash, the talks focused on the government’s election preparations and the steps needed in the coming days.

Prime Minister Karki emphasized that all political parties must make a clear commitment toward the upcoming elections. She noted that while the Nepali Congress (NC) has not yet made a formal decision, it remains committed to participating in the polls.

She also expressed confidence that the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) would not withdraw from the elections and said the government was working to build consensus with the UML.

The Prime Minister’s secretariat confirmed that she has also invited UML leaders for discussions, which are expected to take place after the UML secretariat meeting concludes.

Prime Minister Karki has previously held several rounds of talks with different parties, including a tripartite dialogue between the government, political parties, and the Genji Youth, aimed at fostering cooperation and stability ahead of the national elections.
