122 Parties in the Upcoming Elections as Registration and Cancellation Process Continues
Kathmandu, Nov 16: A total of 122 political parties are currently listed for the upcoming elections, while the registration of new parties and cancellation of inactive ones is still underway.
According to Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, seven new parties have been registered and seven older parties have been removed from the list since the election announcement. The Election Commission has been issuing registration certificates only after verifying all required documents submitted by new parties.
