Nepal Announces Squad for ICC T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka
Kathmandu, Jan 7: Nepal has announced its national cricket squad for the upcoming ICC Twenty20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Nepal national team head coach Stuart Law on Tuesday unveiled the 15-member squad, with Rohit Kumar Poudel named as captain. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) also officially confirmed the list.
The T20 World Cup will be held from February 7 to March. Nepal has been placed in Group C, alongside former champions England and West Indies, as well as Bangladesh and Italy.

Rohit Kumar Poudel (captain), Dipendra Singh Airy, Sandeep Lamichhane, Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Sandeep Jora, Basir Ahmed, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Nandan Yadav, Gulsan Jha, Lalit Rajbanshi, Rajit (and others as announced).
Nepal will be aiming to make a strong impression against some of the world’s top cricketing nations in the global tournament.
