Nepal Army Urges Public Not to Believe Misleading Information on Election Security
Kathmandu, Mar 4: The Nepal Army has appealed to the public not to believe in irrelevant, exaggerated and misleading information being circulated in a planned manner regarding election security.
The appeal was issued in response to questions raised about the security and management of ballot boxes for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21.
In its statement, the army said it has always carried out its constitutional responsibilities efficiently while maintaining its non-political character. It added that security arrangements for the upcoming elections are being conducted in coordination with all concerned bodies under the integrated security plan to ensure a safe, fair and fearless election.
The army urged the general public not to be misled by exaggerated or false information involving the Nepal Army in relation to the election process.
