Kathmandu, January 11. China has delayed the trip of the World Health Organization (WHO) experts  for the investigation of coronavirus, citing reasons that arrangements are being worked out for their visit.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, head of WHO has expressed disappointment and said that the Chinese authorities didn’t approve their team for investigation.

Hua Chunying, foreign ministry spokesperson for China said that the issue was not about visas but there was some miscommunication and they have been remaining in close communication. Although she said that there is no need to over-interpret the situation, US has been maintaining that their move is highly speculative.

The ten-member team for investigation has been barred to enter Wuhan since early January.

The origins of coronavirus is said to be in Wuhan’s animal markets.
