Nepal Communist Party meeting: We will expel Oli from the party
Kathmandu, February 1. The Central Committee meeting of the Prachanda-Madhav led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is being held at the Karki Banquet, Babermahal.
Co-Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the party hasn’t been splitted. The party is legitimate and it has a majority of central members.
Co-Chairman Pushpa kamal Dahal aka Prachanda announced that the agenda of the meeting is to take action against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and expel him from the party for carrying out factional activities.
Earlier in mid-January, the faction group had posted a letter to the Prime Minister’s official residence. The letter sought for explanation within a 3-day ultimatum. When PM Oli didn’t reply to the letter, last week, the party decided to expel Oli from the party.
