Australian man escapes out of crocodile jaws and drives a long way to reach hospital
Kathmandu, November 10. A 54-year-old Australian man escapes the jaws of a saltwater crocodile with a pocket knife when the giant creature drags the man into the sea.
The man was fishing on his property on the banks of the McIvor River on November 3, according to Queensland Department of Environment and Science wildlife inspectors.
A 4.5-meter crocodile suddenly clutched his legs and dragged him into the river.
The man courageously pulled out his pocket-sized belt knife and stabbed the predator’s head relentlessly. Fortunately, one of his strikes pierced the crocodile’s eye. The giant animal released its jaws from the man’s leg.
Despite serious injuries to his legs and hands, the man drove himself back to the house, which took about an hour. He ran into a neighbor, who drove him to the hospital.
He was flown to Cairns Hospital a few hours later, where he is receiving treatment. The man’s status, according to hospital officials, is stable and improving.
