Elon Musk gives away almost $6 million in charity
Kathmandu, February 16. The world’s richest person, Elon Musk has donated almost $6 million worth of shares to charity. He has donated the shares in an electric automaker.
The donation was a total of around $5.7 billion, making it one of the biggest charity donations in history. While the name of the charity was not cited, an unidentified trust was involved in the transaction.
Musk had earlier said that he is ready to share the stocks if United Nations could prove that it would solve the problem of global hunger.
Elon Musk has a foundation which has become more active over the recent years with $100 million allocated for carbon removal and $5 million to two scientists for Covid-19 research. The foundation has Musk’s brother Kimbal as a director.
