Minister for Physical Infrastructure Encourages Entrepreneurs to Go Green with EVs

Kathmandu, Aug 4: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala, has urged entrepreneurs to shift their preference towards electric vehicles (EVs). During a meeting with taxi entrepreneurs on Thursday, the Minister emphasized the importance of transitioning from fossil fuel-driven vehicles to EVs, considering it as the need of the hour.

While speaking at the meeting, Minister Jwala encouraged the entrepreneurs to embrace EVs and prepare for their integration into their businesses. He mentioned that the government is actively working on drafting new laws to promote the use of EVs in the country.

He further noted that the embossed number plate on vehicles should be in Nepali Devanagiri script, emphasizing the significance of local identity. Minister Jwala called upon the taxi entrepreneurs to initiate the shift towards this direction.

Additionally, Minister Jwala urged the taxi entrepreneurs to utilize online platforms for their services and adopt a uniform for clear identification.
