Kathmandu, Oct 21: US House Speaker Mike Johnson has confirmed that the United States is investigating the leak of sensitive documents detailing Israeli plans to attack Iran. The documents, which contained US assessments of Israel’s strategy, were reportedly published online last week.
Among the leaked materials were images showing Israeli forces preparing for a response to an October 1 missile attack by Iran. According to CBS, the documents are highly classified and intended to be shared only within the Five Eyes intelligence alliance, which includes the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
Iran launched its second attack on Israel this year in early October, firing hundreds of missiles. The first attack occurred in April 2024.
