17 more Nepalese dead from COVID-19 abroad: 281 Nepalese have lost their lives abroad so far

Kathmandu. The number of people dying abroad due to COVID-19 pandemic has been on the rise. According to the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), 17 more Nepalese have died by coronavirus. One of them staying in the United Arab Emirates (The UAE), and 16 other people were from Saudi Arabia.

As per Dr. Sanjeev Sapkota, Convener for the Health Committee of the NRNA, within the past nine months, 281 Nepalese have died in around 18 countries across the world due to the pandemic. The association also mentioned that few more Nepalese have tested COVID positive in countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, Oman, Qatar, India and Saudi Arabia.

The association has additionally stated that 89% of the corona positive Nepalese have recovered from the deadly disease.
