Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has issued an interim order to stop the advertisement of the Public Service Commission (PSC) against the backdrop of the rampant spread of the coronavirus. The commission had previously published a notice that did not allow persons suffering from COVID-19 to take the examination, and this had led the court to issue an interim order against the decision of the commission.

The order has barred the selection for the post of Gazetted First Class Information Technology Expert through internal competition published under the Nepal Miscellaneous Services Group scheduled to be on October 15, 2020.

One of the aspirants for the post, Ramesh Raj Subedi contracted the virus while waiting for the examination and had to observe self-isolation. Relying on the previous notice, he would not be able to take the examination which led him to the Supreme Court, seeking for a fair judgement.
