Kathmandu. Many relationships are destroyed by extra-marital affairs. But an unusual case was seen in Madhya Pradesh, India, where a wife divorced her husband so that he could marry his girlfriend.

According to ANI, family court lawyer Rajni Raajani has given information about the case, as the couple came to her for counseling. She claimed that the husband had married his wife three years ago but was involved with his girlfriend from the past one year. It is reported that his girlfriend also attempted suicide when she thought she had no chances of getting married to the man.

The lawyer, said, “He wanted to be in marital relationship with both which isn’t legally possible. But the wife is very mature, she divorced him and helped him marry his girlfriend.”

The lawyer further revealed that she provided counseling to the girlfriend but she was not ready to leave the man, after which the wife asked her husband what did he want and broke down listening to the response. After a day, the wife decided to divorce her husband.

Both of them signed the divorce papers the next day. The husband decided to give his ex-wife alimony and a share from his property, to which she denied.

She said she did not want to sell her self-esteem in a relationship.
