Fire at Humla Airport engulfs residential quarters
Simkot. The residential building for the office chief and other staff of Humla Airport at Simkot, the district headquarters of Humla, has caught fire today.
The fire broke out at around 4 am. There are guesses that the fire might have started from an electrical leakage caused by a short circuit in the backyard of the building. The airport chief’s quarter has been completely destroyed.
The fire that broke out at 4 am had not been brought under control till the information was received at 6 am. The police had appealed for the help of the public in dousing the fire as soon as they knew about the blaze.
Nepali Army, Nepal Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and locals of the lower and upper villages in Simkot are trying to put out the fire.
