US House of Representatives vote to repeal “2002 War Authorization”
Kathmandu, June 18. On Thursday, the Democratic-led US House of Representatives voted to abolish the “2002 authorization for the use of military force (AUMF)”. Repeal bill sponsored by Congresswoman Barbara Lee received 268 votes, 219 of Democrats and 49 of Republicans. 161 votes were cast in opposition to the motion. Lee wrote on her Twitter
