UN suspends Russia from the Human Rights Council
A voting resolution was held where Nepal abstained
Kathmandu, April 8. The United Nations General Assembly(UNGA) has voted to expel Russia from the Human Rights Council, following the allegations of severe human rights violations in Ukraine. A voting resolution was held on Thursday where 93 voted in favor, 24 against and 58 countries abstained from the voting. A two-third majority was required for it
