Names of 4 proposed ambassadors yet to be revealed
Kathmandu. On a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli claimed that the list of 6 names proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was not inclusive. He advised the cabinet not to publicly announce the names of anybody other than Lokdarshan Regmi and Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada.
According to sources, the Prime Minister did not make a decision about the other four names due to the issue of the representation. The proposed list apparently includes the name of Dr. Nirmal Kumar Vishwakarma for South Africa and that of a retired high-ranking military official.
Regmi, who resigned from his post of Chief Secretary and Shanker Das Bairagi, who has been proposed to fill the vacant seat, both joined the meeting carrying their own chairs. The resignation presented by Regmi was immediately accepted by the Prime Minister, whereas, Bairagi was congratulated and welcomed into his new office.
