Nepali mom who killed own children in Austria reveals gruesome details of the murder to the police
Kathmandu. A Nepali woman murdered her three children in Vienna, Austria on October 18. Initial investigation assumed that the reasons of the murder were family quarrel and mental pressures. But in a recent development, the mother of three gave her statement to the police in which she revealed the details of how she carried out the murder.
According to an article in a local newspaper, the woman had issues with her husband since quite a long time. She also had kept restraining orders upon her husband. But after 14 days, the restriction was not elongated, after which her husband moved in on October 14. The husband reveals that his wife doubted that he was having an affair with her sister and aunt, both of which he denies.
The woman responded by saying, “His jealousy overwhelmed me, I wanted to get a divorce. We argued mainly over money.” She also further went on to reveal that it was easy to kill her youngest child and middle child as they went silent when she pressed their faces with a pillow. But the eldest child fought back with all her might and scratched her but she pressed the pillow even harder until she became “calm”.
Viennese criminal law expert, Florian Höllwarth, took up the charge of the case last week and said that the woman was disoriented and broken. She is currently in isolation due to COVID-19, but constantly asks questions like, “Where are my children?”, “Where am I?” and “How long do I have to stay here?”
If she is convicted, she will have to face life imprisonment, but if it is proved that she is mentally unstable, she will be referred to a mental health institution.
