Indian Army Chief exchanged gifts with Nepali COAS Purna Chandra Thapa
Kathmandu. During a special ceremony organized at the Nepali Army Headquarters on Thursday, the Indian Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Manoj Mukund Naravane, on behalf of the Indian Army, presented health equipment to the Nepali Army.
Nepali Army also reciprocated with one lakh units of Nepali-made masks to the Indian Army. On behalf of the Nepali Army, the gift was handed over by COAS Purna Chandra Thapa to the Indian COAS.
Indian Army Chief Naravane was welcomed in Kathmandu on Wednesday for a 3-day-visit. On the first day, he made a visit to the Pashupatinath and Kumari Temple. On the second day of the visit, he received the rank insignia of honorary General of the Nepali Army by the President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
