National football team returning today, team manager in hospital

Kathmandu. The All Nepal Football Association has announced that the manager of the National football team of Nepal, Madhusudan Upadhyaya has tested positive for COVID-19, during an official duty to Bangladesh.
Association President Karmachhiring Sherpa informed that Upadhyaya has not shown any symptoms of the infection and is undergoing treatment at the Seikh Mujib Medical Hospital, located in Dhaka.
The 34-member Nepali team took off for Bangladesh on November 5. The team played two friendly matches against Bangladesh. On October 12, Nepal lost to Bangladesh in its first match with 2-0. On Tuesday, the second match between the two countries drew without a goal. The team will return back on Thursday.
Last week, one of the players from the Nepali team had also tested positive for the virus.
