Kathmandu. Nepali national football team led by Captain Kiran Chemjong left today for Bangladesh for  friendly matches with the Bangladeshi national team on November 13 and 17. Ramesh Silwal, member-secretary of National Sports Council and the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) bade a farewell to the 34-member team.

The team is under the supervision of coach Bal Gopal Maharjan and comprises eight new players as some of the regular national players tested positive for COVID-19. The Nepali team will have to undergo the PCR test again after five days of isolation in Dhaka.

Nepal is going to play with Bangladeshi team after SAF Championship in 2018 in which Nepal had defeated the Bangladeshi team.

The national team comprises Ajit Bhandari, Ananta Tamang, Anjan Bista, Arik Bista, Bharat Khawas, Bikas Khawas, Bikram Lama, Bimal Rana, Bishal Shrestha, Darshan Gurung, Deep Karki, Dilen Loktan, George Prince Karki and Kiran Chemjong. Similarly, other members are Navayug Shrestha, Pujan Uparkoti, Ranjit Dhimal, Ravi Paswan, Saroj Dahal, Sesehang Aangdembe, Suvas Gurung, Sujal Shrestha, Suman Aryal, Tej Tamang, and Tshering Gurung.
