Putin warns Finland making mistake by joining NATO
Kathmandu, May 14. Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned his Finnish counterpart that joining NATO might be a mistake. Further, Putin does not want Finland to renounce their neutral status.
The revelation came after the Finnish president made a phone call with Putin
Further, Finland shares a 1,300-km border with Russia. The country until present avoided to join NATO to not agitate Russia. But at present, due to Russia’s war with Ukraine, Sweden will also be following Finland’s steps.
The Russian Foreign Ministry on Friday indicated that there will be retaliation. The electricity cut-off towards Finland are being seen as the early signs.
According to a Finnish official, the electricity imports accounted for 10% of supply, which can be replaced by alternative sources.
