CAAN makes financial progress of nearly 49 percent

Kathmandu, August 1. In the twelve months of the previous fiscal year, the  Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) collected Rs 7.44 billion in revenue.

CAAN Spokesperson Jagannath Niraula told reporters that the Authority had a target of collecting Rs 6.68 billion in the year 2021/22. “The income has increased by 16.67 percent.”

“CAAN spent Rs 21.32 billion from the allocated annual budget of Rs 43.67 billion, and therefore, made a financial progress of 48.81 percent,” Niraula added.

Niraula further continued, “We have allocated a budget of Rs 41.85 billion for the current fiscal year. The budget will primarily be used to develop airport infrastructure, operation, and air safety”.
