Kathmandu, December 26. Outgoing finance minister Janardan Sharma on Monday organized a press conference in Singh Durbar and stated that the nation’s economy is gradually improving.

“The economy faced serious problems this year. Inflation, which peaked at 10% at the start of the current fiscal year, is currently declining. The growth rate will continue to be above six percent as the economy steadily recovers” Sharma said.

He further explained that the ministry had a target of achieving an eight percent economic growth rate in the current fiscal year of 2022/23. “The economic growth rate would not reach the targetted value.”
