Kathmandu, February 4. A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court, demanding amendments to the regulations governing air traffic safety.

Senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi filed a writ case on Friday requesting that authorities review and revise the current laws, rules, and safety regulations related to air transport operations.

“Existing air traffic regulations are not safe. The regulations for air travel must be revised immediately,” Tripathi argued.

Tripathi’s petition also calls for the formation of a high-level committee to set up a system for monitoring on whether the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) rules have been followed by the airline operation.
