Public Procurement Monitoring Office Blacklists Five Companies for Project Abandonment

Kathmandu, Dec 5: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office has taken stringent action by blacklisting five construction and supply companies, as announced in a notice today.

Among the companies facing blacklisting is Bharat Construction-Mainachuli-Siddhisai JV, based in Kathmandu. The company has been barred for three years due to the abandonment of work on the Pushpalal Highway under the Department of Roads.

Similarly, Mainachuli-Siddhi JV finds itself on the blacklist for halting construction work on the Pushpalal Highway. The Panchthar-based Sherpa-Hena-Sunami JV, Dhading-based Kasyang Construction and Suppliers, and Jumla-based Ezone Nirman Sewa have all been blacklisted for a duration of one year each. The blacklisting comes as a consequence of their involvement in projects that were left incomplete.
