Illegal Gold Transaction Leads to Arrest in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Dec 6: The police apprehended an individual from New Road in Kathmandu today for engaging in the unlawful transaction of gold.

The arrested individual, identified as Padam Pandey, originally from Kailali district and currently residing in Nagarjun, Kathmandu, had gold biscuits and ornaments confiscated during the operation.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Division raided Pandey’s factory before making the arrest and seizing the gold, as stated by Superintendent of Police Rabindra Regmi. The confiscated gold is currently being weighed, with the police yet to disclose the exact quantity seized.

Superintendent Regmi mentioned that some of the seized gold is in biscuit form, while others are in the form of ornaments. Investigations into the matter are ongoing as authorities work to unveil further details surrounding the illegal gold transaction.
