US and UK Respond to Iran’s Drone Attacks on Israel

Kathmandu, Apr 14: In response to Iran’s attack on Israel, the United States and the United Kingdom have taken decisive actions to support Israel’s security. US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak have condemned Iran’s aggression and expressed solidarity with Israel.

Following Iran’s attack on the Syrian consulate on April 1, which Iran blames on Israel, tensions escalated, leading to Iran’s retaliatory strike against Israel. While Israel has not claimed responsibility for the consulate attack, it has faced drone attacks from Iran.

US military forces intercepted several Iranian drones, according to CBS News, although specific details about the drones remain undisclosed. In a coordinated effort, Britain’s Royal Air Force (RAF) has also announced its readiness to halt drones as necessary, deploying additional fighter jets to deter potential attacks from Iran.

President Biden reaffirmed the United States’ unwavering commitment to Israel’s security, emphasizing the importance of standing by Israel in the face of threats. The collaborative response from the US and UK underscores their shared stance in supporting Israel amidst escalating tensions with Iran.
